Pre-2024 GRAMMY Excitement: The Recording Academy’s 2024 New York Chapter Nominee Celebration

On the evening of January 22, a gathering of GRAMMY nominees and affiliated artists converged at the Edge at Hudson Yards in Midtown Manhattan, setting the stage for an enjoyable night of camaraderie and libations in anticipation of the upcoming 2024 GRAMMY Awards on February 4.

Taking in the breathtaking view from the 101st floor of a Hudson Yards skyscraper, Nick Cucci, the Recording Academy’s Senior Executive Director of the New York Chapter, made a notable announcement. While the Chapter Nominee Celebration is an annual tradition leading up to Music’s Biggest Night, this particular edition held a unique distinction:

“This is the highest nominee celebration that’s ever existed,” he proclaimed, alluding not only to the remarkable panorama offered by Edge at Hudson Yards, the tallest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere and the event’s Presenting Partner but also to the exceptional caliber of talent and company present at the 2024 Chapter Nominee Celebration.

As elegantly attired guests ascended to the skydeck, they encountered a constellation of music’s brightest stars—individuals either nominated for the 2024 GRAMMYs, veterans of past ceremonies, or distinguished participants in the Latin GRAMMYs. Some attendees had come simply to show support for their peers who were vying for the coveted golden gramophones on February 4.
