ENTER and Sports Illustrated’s Golf Classic was a Hit

Sports Illustrated presented ‘The Golf Classic,’ a highly anticipated VIP golf outing held at the prestigious Angeles National Golf Club on Monday, July 10th. This annual event, known as one of the longest-running lifestyle golf events in the country with a 19-year history, partnered with Sports Illustrated for the first time to expand its reach through the renowned media enterprise. The Golf Classic combines networking, camaraderie, and competitive golf in a scrimmage-style tournament, all while raising funds for UCLA Children’s Hospital.

The event boasted an impressive lineup of talent, including special guest host Austin Reeves from the LA Lakers, accompanied by NBA star Metta World Peace, Joe Haden, Charles Oakley, Evan Ross, Brody Jenner, Brandon Thomas Lee, Gabriel Aubry, Tom Ellis, Skeet Ulrich, Jesse Lee Soffer, Paris Brosnan, Austin Mills, Blake Webber, Ryan Hansen, Jake Adams, Jesus of Golf, Chord Overstreet, Don Benjamin, Adam Senn, Kyle Schmidt, Erik Paladino, Nate Hill, DJ Politik, Beau Casper Smart, and sports broadcaster Ashley Haas, who served as the emcee for the day. These individuals, along with many others, formed a total of 120 participants.

The Golf Classic was established in 2004 to provide an opportunity for executives and VIPs from the entertainment industry to network and engage in friendly competition while supporting a good cause. Conceived by ENTER, one of the nation’s premier experiential marketing agencies, and curated by its creative founder Zev Norotsky, the tournament is widely recognized as the pioneer of a new era of lifestyle-driven golf events. It attracts key influencers, athletes, nightlife personalities, celebrities, young creatives, and elite members of the entertainment industry.

Participants had the privilege of playing on a championship-level course at Angeles National Golf Club, located in Sunland, California. The course presents unique challenges for golf enthusiasts of all skill levels, offering personal peer-to-peer networking opportunities amidst its picturesque setting. With its Par 72 championship, 18-hole layout, and four sets of tees catering to players of different abilities, the course features two lakes, a creek, and 54 bunkers, providing an exceptional golfing experience.

“The Golf Classic has long been the originator in lifestyle golf events here in the US, we have ostensibly created the blueprint for what a celebrity and professional athlete driven golf experience can look like and as we look ahead to our 20th year it only made sense to partner with the leading authority in sports media to bring this event to a wider audience and continue to raise the bar for what a brand driven and culturally relevant golf event can look like.” – Founder, Zev Norotsky
