Return of the Pack

It’s been a phenomenal couple of weeks for the legendary NJ sneaker boutique Packer Shoes. Last week to commemorate the reopening of their flagship location in Teaneck, they brought out a who’s who to celebrate. They have also geared up new works with Adidas that couldn’t have released at a better time, and currently has social media buzzing. The first, a very limited Consortium EQT ‘91 pays homage to some of Adidas early 90s work inspired by some of the shoes and stand out colors of that era. The second shoe, the Consortium EQT 91/18 takes those roots and puts a modern spin on things, and seems to be a “must have” for many.

The 91/18 is set to release September 29th at Packershoes.com, as well some other global stockists. As mentioned the shoe has its roots in the OG EQT 91 model, but adds Primeknit and Boost tech to bring it into today’s world. The color scheme plays off the Packer ’91 collaboration, but also gives you a modern twist to make it a more versatile shoe from a wear perspective in my opinion. I definitely suggest you look into who is going to have these, don’t expect them to sit for a long time.

Return of the Pack

The EQT 91 model was exclusively limited to 250 pairs, and we were lucky enough to be blessed with a pair at SOCIAL. The EQT ’91 may be one of my favorite shoes of the year and also sits pretty high on my list of Packer collabs as well. The shoe screams a finer attention to detail with premium leathers and suede, and a heavy-duty mesh. The color blocking plays off the materials flawlessly. While the contrasts of the mudguard, toebox, and side paneling of the shoe bring out the true style possibilities of the collaboration. These were exclusive to Packer so you may have to look on the secondary market if you weren’t able to snag a pair, but trust me these are serious.

See our hands on with the shoe below.
